Municipality of Hilversum

Hilversum is home to many national broadcasting companies and is also referred to as the ‘media city’ in the Netherlands. The municipality also designated itself as a ‘garden city’, because of its green surroundings that form part of Goois nature reserve and because of the garden suburbs designed in the 20th century for workers. Knowing these historical facts it is no surprise that also currently the municipality pays attention to green and sustainable policies and therefore invited us to help creating more planetary awareness in their teams.

After a session during climate week, it now involved the information team (strategic information managers, data teams and the privacy team), team communication advisers working on sustainability themes and team green space. A very diverse group of participants: from people who know a lot about climate change to those who are still far away from it.

Our VR workshop was part of a day with plenty of time to go into what each team can do specifically to contribute to a better living environment. A day from awareness to action.

Because in the end, it is all about doing, and that is what our programme encourages.
